Even though the UK has done a great job in sending missiles to Ukraine to fight the Russian invasion, they have fallen badly short when it comes to the refugees.
Despite other European countries waving visas, the UK is insisting on it, even though the refugees, who want to come to the UK, are the elderly, women and children, all scared witless after escaping from Ukraine and losing everything.
The government know that with this spare room policy, they will have to pay little of the £300 per family, because they will let so few in.
I just do not understand it. The totally inept Home Office let in thousands of economic migrants from across the channel, giving them mobile phones, pocket money and putting them up in hotels but they are doing everything in their power to limit entry to the UK of refugees, who have fled for their lives and who now, have absolutely nothing.
Ever since the war started, I have been writing to many MPs, the government and the Isle of Wight council to help me build temporary homes in my derelict field, which has access to water, gas and electricity, but have received absolutely nothing.
IT IS A COMPLETE DISGRACE AND SHOWS THE INEPTITUDE OF PRITI PATEL AND THE HOME OFFICE
