Will Smith, the Oscars and chivalry

I am going to disagree with every social commentator on television and say “Good for you, Will”.

There is one term that has never been mentioned and that is chivalry. If any man made a disrespecting comment against any of my three wives, I would thump them.

It has been said that if Will had been a white actor, his career would have been over. More so, it has also been said that if Will Smith had not been so famous and “Hollywood royalty”, he would not have done what he did. But, just before Will hit that so called comedian, he was not thinking of any of that; his wife had been disrespected and he had a red mist and, although an old fashioned term, was “fighting for his wife’s honour”.

Call me old school, call me a relic, I do not care. What Will Smith did was chivalrous. He is no thug, regardless of what all of the woke media and entertainment industry say.

I am no stranger to lack of hair; I am balding myself. Not only that, my second wife, Liesel, had chemotherapy to try and stem the cancer and she lost her hair. If anyone had made a joke about her lack of hair, I would have hit that person too or if it was a woman saying it, ask her to apologise to my wife or I would slap her and sod the consequences.

In my eyes and those of Will Smith, chivalry is certainly not dead.
