Transgender athletes

Just before I shuffle off of this mortal coil, I want to talk about the bizarre situation regarding transgender athletes.

I am not going to talk about the rights and wrongs of transgenders, as that is a complex subject but I have very strong views on transgender athletes.

Let’s take the examples of the swimmer now known as Lia Thomas and that New Zealander weight lifter.

Both of these people were very poor athletes, hundreds down in the world rankings. But stick yourself in a dress and call yourself a woman and then all of a sudden, you are winning every race.

The question that no one dares ask, otherwise they will be called transphobes, is if these people have just self identified as women with the sole intention of getting an advantage over REAL women athletes.

How do these transgender women behave behind closed doors? After all, despite identifying themselves as transgender women, they have not gone the “whole hog” and have had a full sex change. Even after a sex change, they will still have a huge advantage over biological women but at the very least, they would have “put their money where their mouth is” but it seems that these transgender athletes want the best of both worlds.

Very sadly, this obsessively political correct society is actually demonising biological women and, in this context, is grossly unfair to those biological women, who have worked so hard all of their lives, to become good athletes.
