A message to Sir Iain Duncan Smith (updated)

I have a great deal of respect for Sir Iain and have written to him many times, some of which have been replied to. He is a very honourable and moral man.

This is the message that I have just sent to Sir Iain

Dear Sir Iain,

I hope that I find you well.

Firstly, I would like to congratulate you for pushing the PM into stating that no UK diplomats will be going to the winter Olympics. However, you need to clarify exactly what he means by that.

The issue with the 2020 end of year parties at number 10 are just more nails in the PM’s coffin. I used to vote Conservative but have never voted since Boris Johnson became Prime Minister; I wish to vote again.

Given the huge majority, it is quite clear that the PM feels that he can do whatever he likes and that is arrogance personified

I strongly feel that he must go and go before the end of the year. Richi Sunak is a very good chancellor and the other “candidate” is Liz Truss but neither of them have been really tested. Indeed, Mr Sunak fell apart at the only proper interview on GB News, in front of Andrew Neill, who was ousted. The fact that Andrew Neill got the upper hand was the real reason why he was kicked out of GB News

You, however, are a highly experienced MP and I would ask you to consider standing to replace him. You will need the support of many back benchers, who have some gumption and who will stick by you.

I will say this. Unless Boris Johnson is replaced and replaced soon, the Conservatives will lose the next general election and it will be a landslide. If someone like me, who does not vote, has lost faith in the PM, consider how many people, who voted for him, feel utterly betrayed; those in the North who went against their conscience and the electorate in general.

I am saddened to say that Boris Johnson has become a laughing stock, with a great number of policies being driven by his wife, that are completely contrary to common sense. He has been proven to be a liar and has no moral fortitude whatsoever.

Morality needs to return to Number 10.

He must go.

Please, Sir Iain, consider this email carefully.

Respectfully yours,
