You all know me to be a spiritual man, but not religious but I have just learned that a priest was prevented from giving Sir David Amess his last rights by the police who said that it was a crime scene.
I am very sure that the priest would have gladly given up his clothes and DNA if he had been allowed to give Sir David, a devout catholic, what he wanted.
I know from sad experience that even if someone is close to death, the hearing is the last thing to go. So, as far as Sir David is concerned, he does not have peace in the other world.
