Morrisons penny pinching are affecting customers – the accountants have been at it again

Before I moved from Morrisons to Sainsbury’s (or rather back to them), I was having a chat with a delivery driver, my last delivery. He turned up with a cool bag, rather than a tote box that would have come out of a chilled van.

He explained that Morrisons Isle of Wight (or rather the Morrisons bean counters) had cut their delivery vans down from 5 to 4 but one of them had broken down so they had to use an ordinary van.

Saving money is one thing but cutting the service so that customers get affected, is another thing entirely. It is clear, like the plastic bag scam

that the Morrisons bean counters have been at it again. That was the final straw.

And if you are wondering how many delivery vans that Sainsbury’s have on the Isle of Wight; it is FOURTEEN
