Last night, I watched Patrick Christys on “Tonight Live”. I was very pleased with his punchy style and he says what he thinks. I was going to write a post, waxing lyrical about his impressive performance but then it came to the last 20 minutes or so.
There was a discussion, if you can call it that, on the video of Michael Gove dancing in an Aberdeen nightclub.
The programme took an immediate nose dive and Christys, together with his “panel” started to behave like children, poking fun of Mr Gove. It was banal, childish and I likened it to the gutter press. I turned off and went to bed.
I would like to see Christys and all of the panel on the dance floor. Then for a video to be taken and then to poke fun of their dancing on air.
It was clear that Mr Gove was enjoying himself and that is all that matters. But he is a highly respected politician and presenters should have much more respect for such a person. They certainly would not like it if the roles were reversed.
Yet another black mark against GB News; I expected far more from this channel
