Sadly, I can see it coming. The UK government and every government for that matter, will leave the Afghan translators to the fate and will be killed by the Taliban.
I even believe that at present, there are no security concerns, regarding Taliban attacks and that the firing of flares from aircraft is purely for optics.
If many UK and US military personnel are killed by the Taliban, the Taliban cannot risk the West changing its mind, so they will let them go unharmed but they will certainly not make it easy for the UK and the US
