There is no doubt that Alex Phillips is an excellent journalist and she covers some excellent subjects. But, when she covers matters like misogyny, she turns into a different person.
She dedicated a whole programme to misogyny and some emailed in saying “what about misandry?”. She belittled these people and said that “it would be discussed at a later date”. Pigs may fly; I will be a very old man before anyone talks about misandry on any news programme.
I have been at the sharp end of misandry and nearly lost my freedom. It is a very important subject. Yes, we know that the Taliban are misogynists but do not tar everyone with the same brush.
In a later show, she then launched into talking about oral and anal sex. Yes, she did tell viewers to send the children out but what would happen if a child walked in? I was so disgusted that I turned off the television. I can imagine that Ofcom will have had a great number of complaints about this.
It is evidently clear that she has been badly hurt and I am sorry for that; so have I. But even though it has been women who have ruined my life, I do not hate them; it is just that I have limited trust in them and who can blame me?
She must not be allowed to talk about sex related issues ever again, otherwise she should be taken “off air”
