I have just heard that Laura Kenny is going to be carrying the flag at the closing ceremony; it is not a surprise.
She is a great athlete in her own right but her husband has won more medals at the Japan Olympics but, like everyone else, the GB team is woke, so they have to have a woman flying the flay, even if she was not the best althelete on the day.
This is one of the many reasons why I am going to completely cut myself off from everything that can hurt me in any way or affect my mental health, which is bad enough as it is.
