(Amazon.co.uk will be hereafter referred to as Amazon and does in no way refer to Amazon.com, which I have had no experience of)
As you know, I had a brain tumour when I was young and the scar tissue that arose from the operation, many decades ago, has caused the same type of symptom that the tumour created. As such, I am on medication for the rest of my life.
I get my meds from my doctor’s pharmacy and I have to go regularly. This is one of only two trips that I take from my house, the other being to my osteopath.
I have got to know the two pharmacists quite well and, every year, I like to buy a present for them. Exactly the same, no preferential treatment to one or the other.
I maybe spend a little more than I should but I have no one else to buy presents for, given the situation with my family, save for my osteopath who has already got his present as I will now not see him until the New Year. He was wavering as to whether he should be open Christmas Eve but I told him that as he works long hours, he should spend it with his family because that is what Christmas is all about. He agreed.
Anyway I ordered and paid for two necklaces and everything was in order. Then a day or two ago, I was checking my order history and it said that I had cancelled the order. Now, why would I have done that?
Here is what is on my screen
This has been on now for two days and, to be honest, I didnt see the “YOUR“.
So, I thought that they were out of stock, EVEN THOUGH Amazon had taken my order and money but I decided to check with the Marketplace merchant.
The merchant told me, by email that the order HAD NOT been cancelled their end and everything was fine.
Here is their message
- If I didnt cancel and
- The merchant didnt cancel
- I received no cancellation email from anyone
The answer is simple, IT WAS AMAZON WHO CANCELLED IT.
Why? That is easy. I have got under the skin because of my dispute and so they decided to piss me off by unilaterally cancelling an order. Incidentally, it was the the highest value current one.
What is more the payment is still going through. Here is a snipe of my on line credit card screen, redacted of course.
and here is the order to which it relates
And because of Amazon’s dirty tricks, Royal Mail have stopped delivery and are returning the parcel
AND ORDERS CANNOT BE CANCELLED IF THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN DESPATCHED AS THE ABOVE ROYAL MAIL TRACKING DETAILS
So, Amazon are
- Still taking my money
- Cancelled my order
- They have ensured that the goods are sent back
- They are trying to ruin the recipients’ Christmas
What they have done is fraud, is illegal and is criminal
- They have taken my money;
- The have made it so that I will not receive the goods that I paid for
THAT IS THEFT IN ANYONE’S BOOK
Because I am in dispute with them, Amazon are behaving like a petulant child, throwing their toys out of the pram because they are not getting their own way
As a result of this action, Amazon are now going to have to pay much higher compensation to me
