……look no further than Brokenwood Mysteries. It is a New Zealand drama, beautifully balanced and with great actors and actresses; not pretty young things such as in Murdoch Mysteries “inserted for the sake of it”, although Fern Sutherland is extremely attractive in her own right and I also get the feeling that beyond the beauty, she is a very kind person, as beauty is just superficial; it is what is underneath that counts, really counts.
It is a great shame that the series ended and that Miss Sutherland decided, after its finale, to go to Canada and joined the “in crowd”.
That was a tragic mistake and a betrayal of her roots as a fine New Zealand actress. It is not just about fame and fortune;
it is more about keeping honest to your roots. If you do not, you will never be truly happy.
I have stayed faithful to my roots and morals, even if I am going through so much pain as a result and am very well aware that money does not bring you happiness, far from it.
