Murdoch Mysteries – poor attention to detail

Regular readers will know that I have issues about this programme but there is an old adage that is not dependent on the travel of time; if you are going to do something,do it right first time and do not skimp.

I am watching the episode “8 Footsteps” and I noticed something near the beginning. When Murdoch and Dr Ogden left their hotel room, she did not lock the door to their suite.

As the wife of a detective, she should know better.

And as for the deaf and blind lady suddenly getting from one end of the room to the other, after the reenactment of the dinner, to bash the MALE perpetrator of the murder, that is just insertion of a female character for JUST PURE TITILLATION

And as for Dr Ogden’s continued attempts at sexual experimentation, that is written into  just about every episode, this is done for PURE SEXUAL TITILLATION AGAIN.

The producers of the series make a vast amount of money and they should make slightly less, this time with far better attention to detail.

Call me picky but I was taught in the early part of my profession to not fudge, not skimp but do it properly but sadly standards have significantly slipped but if you are going to do something, do it properly, FIRST TIME.

AND IF IS NOT RIGHT, DO IT AGAIN but that costs money

How do I do it and how am I this way? I was taught the basics first and built up from there; that is why few graduate student chartered accountants even understood double entry book keeping.

And when I read Civil Engineering at university and flunked my first year exams, I went back to first principals and built up from there and passed all of the exams but sadly I could not master three dimensional mathematics and failed structural engineering, even after having three “O” levels and one “A” level in Maths. So, I left university and explored other avenues.

Accuracy and attention to detail is ALWAYS the key TO EVERYTHING
