In Murdoch Mysteries….

…….which is set in the very early 1900s, clearly you can come to some conclusions about Canada in that era

  • most men are drunks and hit their wives
  • it is mainly men who will kill
  • if a women kills, there is always an underlying reason behind it such as abuse or self defence
  • all coroners are women (they did have a man but he was a replacement but died en route)
  • it would seem that all medical schools in Canada are for women only and there are only a handful of male doctors
  • you can become a therapist if your whim takes you and are a woman doctor; no training needed of course

I am surprised that they have not introduced women constables into station house number 4 !!!!!!!!!!!! (Yes, that was supposed to be sarcastic)

Clearly, the efficacy of Murdoch Mysteries is no better than what you use when one goes to the toilet

Why this programme is supposed to have a cult following is beyond me; maybe they are just brainless yanks and Canadians who will believe anything. Actually, not far from the truth probably
