I have just watched Air Crash Investigation and guess what they blamed the pilots.
This was a flight close to the North Pole, in Canada, so that the pilots had to continually recalibrate their navigation system with the on board GPS.
But what they do not say is that the on board GPS could have been linked to the aircraft navigation system and the crash would never have happened and all of the people would have been saved.
Pilots are highly trained and have a lot to do especially when they are landing and humans are humans and forget things. They were too busy to recalibrate their navigation system.
But the big question that Air Crash Investigation do not talk about is why the on board GPS WAS NOT linked to the main navigation system.
It all comes down to one thing, cost
Boeing put people before money when they could have easily fixed the problem; they knew that their aircraft went that far north.
WHAT BOEING DID WAS PUT TO COST BEFORE PEOPLE AS THE CONDITION WAS SO RARE, IT WAS NOT WORTH BOTHERING ABOUT
