The Jewish Faith

Some people reading my blogs would think that I am an anti Semite but that is not the case.

I watch a great deal of “vintage” dramas, all made recently, as they seem to have a magical quality about them. Maybe it is to do with the fact that although there were evil people in those days, morals of most were still very much in the ascendance.

I have started watching a new drama called “A Place called home”. It is about a nurse who happens to be Jewish and was caught up in the war, as sadly many were. She fought for the resistence with her husband, also Jewish, as she had converted when they got married.

Yes, it is a drama but what struck me was the damage that was done to people like her, mostly of the Jewish faith. Her husband was murdered in Dachau concentration camp, not killed, murdered.

She tries to live her life as best as she can but is haunted by what happened in the war, all carried out by the Nazis. I cannot imagine. No, I cannot begin to imagine what those people went through and it will have been with them until the day that they died.

Yes, I am a spiritual person; that is my choice and belief. But, I respect the beliefs of every single religion.

What I do not like is the fact that the Israeli state has politicised the holocaust to such and extent that everyone feels guilty for what happens and lets the Israeli state get away with everything, including the genocide of the Palestinian race. Every country watches as the Palestinians are shot or imprisoned for no reason; especially the Americans. They have broken just about every Nato rule but they are allowed to get away with it.

I used to go out with a Jewish lady, for about a year and Verity loved her to bits; she was energetic and fun.

But one day, she said something to me that changed everything….

“NO FRIEND OF ISRAEL IS NO FRIEND OF MINE”

Sadly, that says it all really

THAT IS WHAT I DO NOT LIKE ABOUT ISRAEL. NOT THE FAITH BUT THE PEOPLE WHO USE THE FAITH AS LEVERAGE
